Bright Hubs goal is simple- provide readers with a dependable resource to make informed
life, education, or technology decisions.
Our expert writer network and active community of life-long enthusiasts help us reach this goal by offering
extensive knowledge about the ways science and technology impact our work, our play, and all aspects of our lives.
Bright Hub writers and editors create valuable
content for both novice and advanced consumers, building
an inventory of thousands of science and technology
articles, software and hardware reviews, buyers guides,
blog entries and forum discussions.

| Shared Success Program Overview |
The Bright Hub Shared Success Program is
based on the principle of empowerment economics
the idea that everyone in the value chain can
benefit from their efforts. This network effect
is powerful, enabling members to leverage each
others strengths, while keeping standards high
and building reader traffic together. With a
community of expert writers and editors, our channels achieve
the goal of helping readers find the information
they are looking for.
By meeting the needs of the search market, a channel of
writers can build a readership that comes back to Bright
Hub for great information again and again. The better
the channel is at meeting the needs of the search market,
the more revenue that channel will earn and share amongst
its channel member network.
Bright Hub
contains multiple hubs that are comprised of channels.
Each hub addresses a particular discipline, and
contains various channels that address more specific
subject matter related to the hub.
A channel consists of articles or reviews, and sometimes
discussions, blogs and media galleries, generated for a
specific common subject related to its hub.
A community grows under channels and not
under our more general hubs. The three
types of channel opportunities available
for writers at Bright Hub include
Editorial Community Channels,
Self-Publish Community Channels,
and Personal Channels. |
|

|
| Editorial
Community Channel Structure |
| Each channel contains a network of
participants. There are three distinct
roles that anyone participant can play. There is
only one Managing Editor
per channel. The roles are: |
- Managing Editor
(1 per channel)
-
Contributing Editors (1 to 5 in a
channel)
- Channel Writers
(5 to 50 in a channel)
Each role in the program comes with specific
requirements and benefits and channel members
must maintain their good status in order to
continue to receive the revenue sharing of that
channel and/or article content. |
|
 |
| Self-Publish Community Channel Structure |
| Bright Hub Self-Publish Community Channels have a
very similar structure to the above managed
channels. Each hub addresses a specific discipline
and contains groups of related content in its channels. |
|
Where Self-Publish Community Channels differ is that they consist
entirely of writers with no editor roles in the
program. Self-Publish Community Channel writers enjoy greater freedom
in determining article content and strategy. In addition,
writers can apply and start writing today!
